As with all community sports clubs, volunteers are vital to the ongoing success and development of the North Derbyshire Chargers and we are always appreciative of any help and support which the community can offer. We don’t ask for ongoing commitment (although it would be great to see you every week) and in return we offer the ability to develop new skills, support and training where appropriate to the role and the knowledge that you are supporting the sporting development of children across North Derbyshire and the surrounding area.
Ways in which volunteers can support the club include:
- providing first aid cover at matches;
- setting out the field prior to a game;
- ensuring water bottles are filled;
- serving refreshments after the match;
- fundraising for the club;
- co-ordination roles to support other volunteers;
- welfare officers;
Examples of volunteer agreements and volunteer roles descriptions are available from the Rugby Football League web site. For more reasons to volunteer please take a look at this presentation and feel free to contact us if you would like to offer your support.
